It’s slowly become a Note to Amy tradition; a list of our favorite albums of the past year.
Just like in 2012 and 2013 we sat down and all created a top 10 of our favorite albums of 2014. A great year for music, and we had a lot of fun going over the past year.
The only album that made all five our lists is “Hang” by Lagwagon. Wouter and Eelco are the only two that have “The Satanist” by Behemoth in their lists, both put that album as their #1 of the year. They’re our two little metal fanatics and maybe it’s safe to hide your matches when we play in a town near you if they have a church. You never know.
The total list -just like our individual lists- is quite diverse, ranging from punkrock to metal to hardcore and to some nice relaxing soft tunes. We can’t always be tough guys.
Anyway, for those of you that use Spotify, we created a little playlist with our communal top 10, so feel free to check that out and see (and hear) what the Note to Amy guys listen to. We’ll probably end up enjoying the list ourselves in our van when we head on tour next week!
Feel free to let us know what you think of our lists, and please share yours with us! We love to discover new things too.
If you read this on the frontpage of our site: click the “continue reading” button at the bottom, you can find our individual lists.
For now, enjoy!

07 – Pianos Become The Teeth – Keep You

Great news for those living in Germany and Czech Republic; we’ll be coming your way in January!
So far we’ve been setting up a small tour thru that will take us to some places we haven’t been before – which is awesome – and to some of our favorite places.
We still have a few dates to fill on this run however, so if you can be of any assistance, we’d greatly appreciate that.
We don’t need much, we will travel with 5 guys and a backline, and just need a stage or a floor to come and rock on. Some drinks and food would be nice, a little gas money and even a place to sleep, but that’s all details.
Please get in touch if you know of anything to help out!
We’ll keep this short and sweet as we are shaking with excitement; our new album will be called “Life Is Not Enough”. It’ll have twelve awesome songs, the vinyl version will have thirteen. The blue vinyl is gorgeous as hell and comes with a lyric sheet and download coupon. The CD booklet has all the lyrics so you can sing along, and the disc is printed so it looks like a vinyl record.
It’ll be out on November 21st through White Russian Records. We’ll celebrate it that day too with a free show at AreaFiftyOne in Eindhoven, where our buddies in MARCH and Dead Giveaway will also come and play. White Russian have launched a pre-order store, where you can buy the new CD and LP or a special shirt we did for the album. There’s some nice bundles available as well, so you can save some money!
To give you all a little taste of what’s to come, we’re releasing a brand new single. “Here They Come Now” will be out on October 30th, both digital (iTunes, Spotify, Deezer and whatever else you can think of) and on an actual CD! “What’s a single without a video” you say? We get that. So below you’ll find the video we shot for “Here They Come Now”. We hope you’ll enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed recording it!
