Best of 2014

It’s slowly become a Note to Amy tradition; a list of our favorite albums of the past year.
Just like in 2012 and 2013 we sat down and all created a top 10 of our favorite albums of 2014. A great year for music, and we had a lot of fun going over the past year.

The only album that made all five our lists is “Hang” by Lagwagon. Wouter and Eelco are the only two that have “The Satanist” by Behemoth in their lists, both put that album as their #1 of the year. They’re our two little metal fanatics and maybe it’s safe to hide your matches when we play in a town near you if they have a church. You never know.

The total list -just like our individual lists- is quite diverse, ranging from punkrock to metal to hardcore and to some nice relaxing soft tunes. We can’t always be tough guys.

Anyway, for those of you that use Spotify, we created a little playlist with our communal top 10, so feel free to check that out and see (and hear) what the Note to Amy guys listen to. We’ll probably end up enjoying the list ourselves in our van when we head on tour next week!

Feel free to let us know what you think of our lists, and please share yours with us! We love to discover new things too.

If you read this on the frontpage of our site: click the “continue reading” button at the bottom, you can find our individual lists.
For now, enjoy!

01 – Lagwagon – Hang
02 – The Menzingers – Rented World
03 – Architects – Lost Forever//Lost Together
04 – Behemoth – The Satanist
05 – Giant Eagles – Giant Egos
06 – Gaslight Anthem – Get Hurt
07 –  Pianos Become The Teeth – Keep You
08 – La Dispute – Rooms Of The House
09 – Lana Del Rey – Ultaviolence

But enough; here’s the list with -according to Note to Amy- the best 10 albums of 2013!
